About Gio
I’m Gio, a professional dog trainer based in South East London,
working with puppies and adult dogs using kind, reward-based,
science-led methods.
My focus is on helping dogs and their people build calm, confident, and trusting relationships through clear communication and practical, real-life training.
I specialise in one-to-one training tailored to each dog and family,
whether that’s building strong foundations with a puppy, improving everyday skills like recall and loose lead walking, or helping prevent
unwanted behaviours before they become habits
My Experience
Alongside my work with private clients across South East London, I have previously worked as a behaviour and training advisor for one of the UK’s leading rescue charities, where I gained extensive experience working with dogs of all backgrounds, temperaments, and histories. Through both my private practice and my work in rescue, I’ve supported dogs and their owners with everything from building solid foundations to improving everyday skills and confidence.
My Qualifications and Ongoing Development
I am a graduate member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), a certified Canine First Aider, and fully insured. I am currently working towards full APDT accreditation and a Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Applied Animal Behaviour (Canine), a programme recognised by the ABTC, which will qualify me as an animal behaviourist.
I’m committed to continuing my education and keeping my work up to date with modern, ethical, evidence-based training methods.
